Performance Information
Enchanting evening in Hannover with Steinway Artist, multi-awarded pianist Joanna Sochacka in a special duo performance with pianist Anna Miernik for a Christmas concert featuring the most beloved Christmas classics and iconic melodies from Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Paderewski, Piazolla and Leontovych. Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, the enchanting ballet music captures the magic of Christmas with the famous Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Waltz of the Flowers.
The second section concludes Mykola Leontovych’s Carol of the Bells, one of the most renowned Christmas music worldwide, based on a Ukrainian folk chant. The encounter of two artists on one piano will amplify the sound and the melodies, a pure bliss for the audience.

The piano duo Sochacka & Miernik began its activity in 2024, debuting in Italy, North Macedonia, and Austria. The artists have performed in numerous countries and prestigious concert halls such as: Carnegie Hall in New York, Royal Albert Hall in London, Beethoven-Haus Concert Hall in Bonn, Slovak Philharmonic in Bratislava, National Philharmonic in Chișinău, National Forum of Music in Wrocław, National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Kraków Philharmonic, Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, Łódź Philharmonic, Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, Liszt Concert Hall in Raiding, Sydney Opera House, Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima, and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.
They have made numerous recordings and media appearances for radio and television in Poland, Brazil, Israel, Argentina, France, the UK, and the USA — including for TVP Kultura, Polish Radio (Programs I and II), France Musique, Cultura FM, Radio Nacional Argentina, and NPR Classical.

The Hannover Congress Centrum is one of the largest congress and event centres in Germany. It offers an event and foyer area of 23,000 m², divided into 4 multifunctional event halls, 7 historic halls and 28 conference and meeting rooms. With the Dome Hall as its focal point.
The historic Kuppelsaal, Dome Hall, built in 1914, is the largest classical concert hall in Germany with its 3,570 seats, it covers a total area of 4,530 m², supplemented by an exclusive entrance area with an area of 270 m² for registration counters or information stands.With a comprehensive renovation in 2016, the acoustics of the hall were also optimised to offer attendees the finest musical experience in the circular space.
